I make hand-carved block print cards and small-batch herbal tea blends.
There are currently 7 different Teas Blends available. They are all made with organic, dried herbs.
I print the packaging for each tea blend using hand-carved block prints and vegetable based inks.
I make block prints based on the plants and animals found around the Oregon Coast, where I live.
I believe everything in nature is threaded together like a fabric and every piece is important.
Hi, I’m Jody.
I am the artist and herb-enthusiast behind Alice Projects.
Every block for every card or package of tea I make is carved, inked and printed by hand on my small press.
Each tea was blended thoughtfully with a focus on wellness. As I learn more about herbs and herbalism, I continue to hone the current blends and create new blends of tea.
Similarly with block printing, the more I create, the more I learn and hope to improve in both the carving and the printing of blocks.
It’s a never-ending process of learning and changing. The collections of teas & block prints both reflect the fluidity of the process. As new blocks are carved or new tea blends are made, the older ones fade away. There is always something new to explore, sip, or share.
All of the cards and teas are made on demand and it is usually a week turnaround time to get them shipped to you.
